Granger Community Church

Our featured client of the quarter is “Granger Community Church” in Granger, Indiana. Founded by Dr. Mark and Sheila Beeson, Granger Community Church (GCC) has experienced nearly 15 years of rapid growth and changed lives. They have grown from 5 to over 4,000 in weekly attendance and employ a staff of more than 50. Their mission statement, “helping people take their next step toward Christ...together,” is being fulfilled every day in the hearts of the people who attend.

Granger Community Church is a unique church with a unique vision. Their services are designed for anyone to enjoy, even if you have never been to church before. They have a passion for the arts, so music, drama, and media are a big part of the way they communicate. Nurturing and serving takes place in small groups, offering the opportunity for intimate friendships within a larger community of faith. The church also invests heavily into their children and youth, believing them to be some of the greatest influencers in the world today.

GCC uses Microsoft Great Plains software based on Microsoft SQL for their back-office accounting and membership activity management. The project's strategic initiative was to implement a foundational system with centralized data that would seamlessly integrate with various applications and departments. Some of the benefits are:

GCC will also be utilizing a Point-of-Sale system by Compass Technologies for their bookstore, café, and information kiosks which directly interfaces with the Great Plains product, integrating with the general ledger, accounts receivable, inventory, and online credit card authorizations.
